Jeff, the salesman, was very professional and helpful. He answered all my questions or concerns quickly. We had a few... items (window screens, outside light) damaged from the roof being removed but they were super fast in resolving it once they were notified; no arguments or blaming, just said, "Yep, that's on us, we'll fix it!" That means a lot. Crew worked fast and Chuck, another roofer, did the follow-up and fixed any issues he found (a handful of nails that needed redone). Everyone was very helpful and accommodating and the roof looks great!read more

The roof is great and I'm very happy with Garvin, the roof looks awesome and all my neighbors have stopped to tell me... how great it looks and envious they do not have a metal roof. I would have given 5 stars but there were a couple small things that could have went a little more smoothly. First item was not knowing the install team was showing up so I was surprised when I returned from work on a Monday night to see install had started and all their equipment was on my property. This was not an issue with Garvin but something for others to consider, all gutters were removed from my house and I have a drainage issue on one side of the house so that Monday night it downpoured rain and I had small streams in my basement which I quickly contacted my sales rep Jeff asking when the new gutters would be installed as they were predicting a big 2-day storm for the coming weekend. Jeff worked to coordinate a gutter install team as quickly as possible and they were able to install on Saturday morning before any more rain fell so everything worked out and the gutters look great. Last item is clean-up during install and then finished install. During install I believe at the that end of day the job site should be as clean as possible - water bottles left on the porch/stairs and large debri in lawn/sidewalk - so felt it could have been cleaner. After Finished install - overall the install team did a pretty good job at cleaning up and I know it is difficult to clean up everything but there were still some pretty big chunks of debri and nails in plain site on my driveway and in landscape beds - especially worried about the nails which I did several walk arounds and raked the drive area to make sure no one ended up with a nail in their tire if they came to visit. Again overall I'm very happy, I was very happy with the price and Jeff working with me to hit my budget which I did not need financing so there was more flexibility to work with my budget. Love the roof!read more

Update: 12/14/20 - Garvin has emailed/called me to make right. I have received all of the screws needed to install my... snow guards. I'm appreciative of the response after nearly giving up hope.I previously rated Garvin a 5 star for their responsiveness to concerns, but i'm going to have to bring it down to a 3 after failure of delivering final products (snow guard screws). Unfortunately I felt rushed to pay the final amount at job completion and I shouldn't have until I received all the product. I was told that they would get the screws to me and now its been 5 months later with no luck in sight. I was told the installer no longer works for Garvin and he did not provide any help on contacting the installer just that he doesn't talk to him anymore. I would recommend anyone looking to do a metal roof to go directly through Metal Exteriors and skip Garvin because you can do a better job PM'ing a project and making sure you have the right materials without the middle person (being totally useless). All I was asking for was a little customer services and help receiving the products within the job and that could not be done.read more

We had a new metal roof and new gutters installed by Garvin Construction. From the date of the estimate (1/31/2020)... until completion (3/14/2020) the process was seamless. Jeff communicated effectively, Gilbert and the installation team were quick, efficient, and courteous, and Nelson’s team with the gutter installation were prompt and so kind! Recently needed replacement roof , Garvin Construction is certified - for a reason. The crew had a complex roof line... and we had to struggle with financing (but we got it!) and yes metal roofs are more expensive, but look at the results!The net result? Green in the summer due to lower utility use and never need to worry about rain or hail.read more

I had a metal roof installed and I am really satisfied by how it looks and the experience working with Garvin. We... went with Garvin because of how much time and effort they put into inspecting and working to understand the level of effort going into going into the project. When it as a hot July day the project manager, Jeff, was up on our roof measuring and considering different challenging that would need to be attended to should they get the work. We own a 120 year old house with a large barn that is even older. Needless to say there is always something that needs... repaired or replaced. Garvin Construction helped us out with three projects. A side porch roof had a gutter that allowed the water to run behind, rotting part of the decking. We had one piece of gutter that was running uphill away from the downspout. The barn roof had one area that has always leaked a lot, plus some other small leaks. Garvin Construction took care of the house issues in a very professional manner. The barn roof required more attention. They knew the best approach a complicated repair. Their solution was excellent. The end result is a roof that is very nice and no longer leaks. I would recommend Garvin Construction to do an excellent job and do it right.read more
